Design VIP days are where you get my undivided attention for the whole day and we work intensely on your project for the day. They have quickly become one of my favorite ways to work with clients because we’re able to achieve months of work in just one day.
I love working with clients over several months because I get to know them really well and it’s always so satisfying to see a big project come to life.
But there is also something really fun about working in a day sprint to make a big impact on your business in a very little amount of time.
VIP Days are for you if…
You already have a brand identity and brand guidelines and you need additional marketing collateral
The more clear you are on your branding and your needs – the more we can get done in this time
You’ll create a punch list or wishlist of everything you’d like to have done and we’ll set an expectation what we think we can done. We’ll make a list from highest priority to “nice-to-have”
We can get a lot of smaller items done in one day. In the past we’ve been able to complete this whole list in one day: icons, mailer box design, tissue paper design, printed collateral items like business cards, thank you cards
Examples of past projects:
Carmen Ellis
Balloons by F&F
You want a semi-custom website done
During the VIP day we’ll customize a template from the Quill & Co shop. We can get between 3-6 pages customized depending on the information and complexity
Keep in mind you’ll need to have all of your website copy complete and your brand photos or images ready before our VIP day together
Examples of past projects:
Great Oak Haven
You’re launching something soon!
VIP Days are great for sales pages for courses or new offers, creating branding for your podcast and a podcast landing pages, or creating a funnel for your webinar or evergreen offer.
Do keep in mind and plan ahead of time for your launch. Our VIP days book fast and we’re often booked a month or more in advance. If you have a launch on your calendar make sure to secure your date soon!
Examples of past projects:
Christina Scalera
Caroline on Design
While VIP days can be a great fit for lots of different projects they aren’t a great fit for every project.
VIP days are not for you if…
If you are hoping to get a fully custom brand and website done in a day
We’re fast, but not super human. We’ll have eight hours of dedicated design time and while we can get a lot done in this time, it’s important to keep realistic expectations
Projects like a full custom brand identity and website can take a couple of months or more. If you’d like to work with us on a custom brand identity and web design we suggest booking us for a full project.
You don’t love our work
It’s always important to pick a designer to work with that you love their work and feel a good working connection with. It’s especially important for VIP days since there is a quick turn around and refinements are kept within the VIP Day
Insider tip: The less refinements needed throughout the day, the more we can get done! To keep refinements to a minimum we recommend over communication about your brand and giving us as much information as you can about your goals, values, and your aesthetic “likes” and “don’t likes”
You aren’t available during our VIP day to give feedback
We’ll be working closely through out the day and will have scheduled checkin times so that we can show you the progress that’s been made and so that you can give us feedback to make sure we’re going in the right direction
Here’s How it Works:
Step One: Book your date on the calendar
Please ensure that you are available through-out this day for scheduled check-ins and to give feedback on the project’s progress.
Step Two: Create your design wishlist
Create a list of everything that you would like to get done during our day together. We’ll go over what I expect we can get done, set priorities, and set expectations for if we don’t complete everything and create a “nice-to-have” list if I get finished with some time to spare.
Step Three: Gather your materials
Before our scheduled day you’ll send over any assets that I may need to complete our work together. This could include your brand guidelines, brand photos, and any copy that I may need.
Step Four: VIP Day Sprint
It’s time to get shit done! During our VIP day we’ll have a schedule to follow with designated check in times. During which you can view the project’s progress and when I can expect feedback from you.
