how to master the 3 essential steps so you can book dreamy clients!
Hi, I'm Marisa, founder of Quill & Co. We work with doers and go-getters ready to do something truly ambitious so that they can stand out and find brand clarity.
Seriously though! Purchasing a Showit template could be the best brand decision you ever make for your business. The price you pay for a fully customizable, pre-designed website, with live chat support, AND with no coding necessary is worth every penny. And I’m not just saying that! A professional site that is easy to use for you and your viewers is priceless and will propel your business forward.
Let’s discuss the tiny bit of technical elements you will need to establish just ONCE with the purchase of a template.
You can instantly make the template feel more you and more on-brand by simply changing the color palette. We’ve set up the template in a way that you can change the colors through out the website in just a few clicks. When using a template, elements are already put into place and by changing the site color settings, the colors will snap right into place replacing the color that was previously used.
Another way to make your new website feel more on brand and unique to you is quickly switching out the fonts used in your template. Your template will come with fonts pre-loaded. You can either keep them as is, or swap these out for the on brand set of fonts. Showit has loads of free Google fonts pre-installed or you can easily add in you own custom font files. You can easily switch out the fonts used for titles, headings, subheadings, and paragraphs. After those fonts have been replaced the website will instantly reformat all the type throughout the template. Whala, it’s kinda like magic.
Obviously swapping out the template logo for the brand logo is going to make a huge difference to build brand recognition. But possibly the most satisfying swap to be made is the images. Having brand images with a similar color scheme as the site palette will create a cohesive and impactful experience for the viewer. If you don’t have professional brand photos yet, don’t worry. We love using stock photo sites like Pexels to find beautiful, royalty free images.
Your template comes pre-built with strategy and structure in mind. But we know that your business is one-of-a-kind which means that your website should be too. So we get that you may need to change or add elements to your template. The best part- Showit has made it so easy!
Everything in Showit is a rectangle! Text boxes, buttons, bounding boxes, even circles start out as a rectangle. Rectangles are the building blocks to creating a website in Showit. Without elements a website is simply a blank canvas, websites are built up one block at a time. Each block looks completely different, but recurring elements will be used throughout to create a cohesive website. Play around with elements to add personality that fits the brand! Oh-and did we mention, every element in Showit is literally drag-and-drop. Say good bye to confusing code and tech. We don’t think you’ll need it, but every Quill & Co. Template comes with a library of video tutorials to help you navigate customizing your site.
Easy as 1.2.3…4. Once you have established these formatting details you won’t have to worry about them again! Well maybe just a quick swap of images every once in a while. But overall these few formatting details will completely change any template to become completely your own. Ready to dive in? Shop the templates I provide here!
